Livigno is an ideal ski destination for a group ski holiday. You only have to look at out Facebook page for the apres ski to know this. But as with any group arrangement, booking a group ski holiday will require you to be super organised and if you’re not the kind of person who likes setting up excel spreadsheet and chasing your friends for money then it may be better leaving the organising to someone who enjoys that kind of thing.
If you do see yourself as a group leader here are some pointers to help you plan your group ski holiday to Livigno.
1. Ask everyone what they want
Nobody likes to feel left out on a group ski holiday. Some people might not have been skiing before while others may be at an advanced level. Then there is the accommodation to consider. If people like their own space they’re not going to want to be sharing a cramped twin room with someone who snores. If you get in touch with us while you are booking we can find you the right type of accommodation to suit your group.
2. Good planning makes for a great group holiday
If your group is large, then you can’t expect to keep everything in your head when it comes to payments. Some people might not be able to pay everything at once and may prefer to pay so much a month prior to the trip. To manage and keep on top of everything, it is worth putting together a spreadsheet with everyone’s details so you can keep track of who’s paid and who hasn’t.
3. Remember groups contain individuals
In an ideal world all the costs of the holiday could be spread equally between everyone. However with a ski holiday some people might prefer to bring their own ski equipment rather than hire it which has implications for travel, then there may be some who need lessons and some people from different parts of the country travelling from different airports. So again communication between members of the group is key to make sure everyone meets up on time or gets the drinks in before the next half of the party arrives at the destination.
4. Make deposits compulsory
Some people might say they are coming along only to pull out with excuses nearer the time. If you take a deposit from everyone who confirms they are going and put it safely away in an account, then you won’t be left having to pay the bill for those who might pull out later on.
