Where is best to stay in Livigno

Posted in Livigno information by Steve Barron on 08/06/2020

Livigno is one of the biggest ski resorts in Europe so if it’s your first time that you are planning on going there, it can take a while to find out where is the best location in the village.

There are many access points to the mountain so in all honesty it doesn’t matter too much which part of Livigno you are staying in, however if you are in ski school or will be needing to get the children on the mountain without walking too much then below may help with which area of Livigno is best to stay.  You will also find below a couple of options in each area to look at should you be requiring somewhere to stay

Centre

Here you will find most of the shops, bars and restaurants and also the ski lifts close by as well.  Normally accommodation is more expensive in the centre so sometimes it’s worth a couple of minutes walk to save you some euro.

Chalet Lamada

Isola apartments

Guana apartments

Chalet Galli

Casa Stefano

Dina apartments

Hotel Helvetia

Baita Bepin

Chalet Roberta

Cassana/Canton/Ostaria

Mostly apartments in this area and is a great base to stay.  Only a few minutes walk to the centre and also the nearest gondola (lift no.30).  A few apartments here where you can ski back to within 15 metres of your apartment.

Chalet Living

Chalet Li Palu

Baita Cecilia

Cassana apartments

Chalet Beatrice

Teola

Mostly accommodation in this area and not much in the way of shops or café’s etc.  The main access to the ski area is from the gondola (lift no.3) or if you are staying higher up on the mottolino mountain then the ski lift Teola can be used.

Hotel Alpen Village

Chalet Paul

Pemont

An up and coming area of Livigno.  Only a couple of restaurants here but it’s just a 10 minute walk to the centre or you can take the ski bus which takes just 2 minutes to reach the ski lifts and centre of the village.

Chalet Remi

Chalet Pemont

San Rocco/Carosello 3000

A very popular area of Livigno as a good selection of shops, restaurants and bars as well as easy access to the ski lifts.  Depending on where in San Rocco you are, it’s between a 5 – 10 minute walk to the centre.

Chalet Rin Star

Chalet Picchio

Chalet Stevan

Bormolini apartments

Hotel Alegra

Hotel Amerikan

Remember in Livigno there is also a superb free ski bus service that runs from 0730 to 2000 daily so getting anywhere you need to be is simple.  For a full list of accommodation with location maps and descriptions see Livigno Accommodation
